HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — One person is dead, and several others are injured after a shooting on Homestead Road on Saturday night, the Houston Police Department said.

According to HPD, hundreds were gathered for a trail ride in the 11300 block of Homestead Road when officers were called to help disperse the crowd after the event.

When officers were at the scene, they say, an altercation broke out, and some people started shooting at each other.

Authorities said at least six victims were shot and hospitalized. The fire department took three people to the hospital, and the other three took themselves.

Officers said four victims, ages 16, 20, 20, and 22, are stable.

A 15-year-old and a different 20-year-old were in critical condition, but according to detectives, one of those victims has died.

Authorities said they don’t have suspect information, but believe there were multiple shooters.
